Rodica Weitzman has a doctorate in Social Anthropology (PPGAS/UFRJ ) and she carried out her post-doctorate research within the field of Social and Environmental Conflicts (IPPUR/ UFRJ). Since 1996, she has worked with diverse social organizations in the construction, evaluation and monitoring of social projects and public policies, as well as coordinating research projects focused on gender studies, sustainable agriculture, food security, social and environmental conflicts and climate change.
